During the International Trade Fair “Sial 2018”, just across the “Olive You” pavillion, a cook seminar was held on 22nd October, 2018.
Sial was a unique opportunity for “Olive You” to reach chefs and future chefs, as well as professionals from the HoReCa industry and suppliers from the retail chain through an event that brought them all together and initiated all the guest into the new trends of international gastronomy based on mediterranean diet!
Chef Konstantinos Vassalos, cooked a variety of dishes, using european table olives as the main ingredient. During the preparation, Chef Vassalos explained to the guests the nutritional benefits of the product as well as ways to use table olives in their everyday cooking as well as in gourmet dishes. Chef also informed our guests about the commercial types of table olives from Greece as well as the natural way they grow on the tree. He emphasized on the qualitative supremacy of the product as well as the health and safety rules that all European exportive businesses apply to food products.
In the end, Chef Vassalos prepared for all the guest a Dry Martini with olives, using of course European table olives from Greece!
