The Gulfood International Food Show, held in Dubai, is the most important food trade fair in the Middle East, attracting companiies that want to trade commercially in the Middle East, South Asia and Africa. The exhibition is already in its 23rd year of operation and through various actions brings together all those involved in the Food and Beverage industry in the World Community to discover new products, suppliers and new business opportunities. It is possible to find solutions to new evolving global challenges, as well as discovering the latest trends in consumer habits and the food industry.
The exhibition occupies a space of 305,000 square meters, while according to the official data of the Gulfood 2017 event, 5,000 exhibitors from 120 countries participate and was visited 97,500 visitors from 185 countries, of which the 60% were outside of the Arabian Peninsula.
The exhibition was an ideal opportunity to promote the activities of the Olive You Program and the European table olives. With the aim, inter alia, of highlighting their superior quality and taste, and further familiarizing the public with nutritional values and the natural maturation of the olive on the tree (black natural olives), the PEMETE exporting companies have achieved positive results for their further export development in the region. Under the umbrella of the Olive You campaign, PEMETE and its eight member companies participated in this important international exhibition with a range of modern kiosks with a stylish uniform visual identity that highlighted the contemporary profile of European table olives.
