THE “OLIVE YOU” CAMPAIGN FOR THE 3RD TIME IN THE INTERNATIONAL TRADE FAIR FANCY FOOD SHOW, IN NEW YORK

The Panhellenic Association of Table Olives Processors, Packers and Exporters (PEMETE) participates for the 3rd continuous year in the International Trade Fair Summer Fancy Food Show (SFFS), on 23-25 June 2019, at Javits Center in New York, with the co-financed by the European Union promotional campaign, „OLIVE YOU: Europe’s finest table Olives“.

OLIVE YOU campaign’s presence took place in a very prominent spot of the national Greek Pavilion, with a modern and impressive stand where visitors were informed regarding the qualitative and tasting characteristics of the European table olives varieties from Greece (Halkidiki, Kalamata, Konservolia), trying new commercial types of the most popular varieties. A significant number of importers and professional from the HoReCa industry visited the greek pavilion and were asked to fill the campaign’s questionnaire, in order to collect useful information about the trends in the US and Canada regarding the table olive varieties as well as the packaging and the commercial types of the product.

Olive You participation in Summer Fancy Food Show 2019 is in fact the starting point of the campaign’s 3rd year in the US, aiming to further familiarize the target groups regarding the nutritional values and the natural maturation of the product (black natural olives), which is an important advantage for the most popular varieties of the European table olives from Greece. The campaign will follow a wide variety of actions –advertising, events, master classes, in store tastings, press relations etc.- in order to inform consumers and professionals about the unique quality and flavor of the most popular olive varieties and result to the increase of table olive exports.

The “OLIVE YOU: Europe’s finest table Olives” campaign

The 3-year EU co-financed campaign aims to generate awareness and demand for European table olives from Greece in 13 countries around the globe (Germany, Austria, France, UK, Poland, Sweden, USA, Canada, Russia, Australia, Norway, Saudi Arabia and UAE). The campaign launched in 2017 will run until February 2020
